The Viking Returns Home

Erik Huseklepp has completed his move back to SK Brann, the club where he made his name, by signing a four-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

There was a stumbling block before this deal could be completed due to a money dispute with Huseklepp's former club Bari, but that now seems to have been resolved.

Like David Norris, Erik was capable of producing the spectacular, including his stunning last minute winner against Blackpool but he could also frustrate and go missing in matches, having little to no impact on the pitch whatsoever.

I'd like to wish Huseklepp the best back in his home country and his move means that just four senior players remain on Pompey's books.

Liam Lawrence is said to be considering offers from Championship clubs but Dave Kitson, Kanu and Tal Ben-Haim are still digging their heels in.

If they could leave before the August 10th deadline, then that would "save" the club but in all likelihood it would see Balram Chainrai take charge of the club once again in order to suck any blood remaining from the carcass before fleeing and leaving the Hyenas to feed off whatever scraps are left before the club rots.

Perhaps Alan Knight is right and Portsmouth FC should simply fold and start again?
