The media #252157

It seems I'm not the only one who felt the need to vent their spleen on the internet about the godawful standards of journalism in this country.

In a truly fantastic article for the official site, Milan has announced that the Daily Mirror and The Sun are now banned from Fratton Park and the training ground in Eastleigh. He also asks for Portsmouth fans to boycott both papers.

There's some absolutely brilliant stuff in it and the link is provided at the bottom of the page for your amusement so you may read the whole thing, but allow me to pick out my personal highlights;

"We have not had the courtesy to notify these papers on their bans because we thought it might be fun for them to read of it on our official web site"

"They printed unsubstantiated trash during the January transfer window"

"Do they [the supporters] really want to read the club they have so much pride in being trashed by third rate comics"

"I will tell you that is the utmost truth which is more than you can say for their tripe"

"treat such rubbish with the absolute contempt it deserves"

You tell them Milan! On the negative side, we're now guaranteed to be absolutely slated every day of every week in these papers in a petty war of revenge. On the plus side, I doubt many Pompey fans will be reading.

Read the whole lot here.
