Long Journeys Ahead

Birmingham and Sunderland have bounced straight back from the Championship after Derby lost to Crystal Palace today. Pompey fans will be returning to St. Andrews and the Stadium Of Light next season.

The Stadium Of Light is approximately 8 hours away on the road, meaning unless you're flying to Wearside, you'll be getting up nice and early next season! Of course, it'll be worth it if we see a repeat of the 4-1 win last time we went there.

Birmingham isn't so far away but nobody will want to remember the 5-0 thrashing we received there last season. No doubt there'll be some "5-0, and you still went down!" chants going around the away end at St. Andrews just to remind Birmingham fans what happened last season.

Welcome back Brummies and Mackems, here's to taking 6 points from you next season! (Hopefully... if the away form gets sorted out...)

Also a belated congratulations to Havant & Waterlooville who have attained a play-off place in the Conference South where they will play Braintree. Well done Ian Baird!
