Michael Drennan has signed for Portsmouth on an initial month's loan from Aston Villa.
The 20-year-old scored three goals in ten games for Pompey last season but, as I stated in an article yesterday, I personally don't think he is the answer to Pompey's goalscoring problems. Watch him go and bang in a hat-trick at Hartlepool now...
It's not a bad deal in honesty as if he doesn't make an impact he's only here for a month but if he can reproduce his performance at Dagenham last April then he can be kept on for longer.
I hope he can prove his doubters wrong.
