Ryan Williams has sealed his transfer from to Fulham with the youngster signing a two-and-a-half year deal with the Cottagers.
The fee is reported to be around £400,000 as Pompey look to raise funds to pay the outstanding tax bill.
It's disappointing to lose a young talent but the bottom line is Williams barely featured for the first team this season and shouldn't harm Michael Appleton's plans too much.
All we know about the 18-year-old is that he has pace but we haven't seen enough of him to make a proper judgement. Who knows? We may have lost a gem on the cheap or Williams may turn out to be another prospect whose career descends into the wilderness.
