Will Portsmouth ever win away?

You wouldn't expect, perhaps, a maritime club to suffer from travel sickness, but come early Feburary and Portsmouth have yet to collect all three points away from home. A stark contrast to last season, when Pompey won in only their second away game of the season, when goals from Hayden Foxe and a brace from Jason Crowe (remember him?) earned Pompey a 3-2 victory at Crystal Palace.

Portsmouth, of course, came so near to winning their first away match of the 2003/2004 season, losing a lead at Manchester City in the dying minutes, but since then, have struggled on the road with draws at Middlesbrough, Wolves and, strangely enough, Arsenal to show for their efforts. A miserable six goals - three of which occured at Spurs - is the tally for the season so far.

Darlington's 2-0 win at Huddersfield this weekend now leaves Portsmouth, Wolves and Wycombe Wanderers, rock bottom of division two, the only sides without an away this so far this season.
