Toddy Off On Loan?

Harry Redknapp revealed today that Svetoslav Todorov will be allowed to leave Pompey on loan with a couple of Championship clubs interested.

The fan favourite has hardly had a chance this season because it looks like Harry isn't prepared to take the risk to give him a long run of games to see if he is truly Premiership quality. So now Toddy will have the opportunity to join a club with Pompey connections.

Does he go and rejoin Milan Mandaric at Leicester City or does he renew acquaintances with Andy Griffin, Vincent Pericard, Ricardo Fuller and the other Pompey rejects at Stoke City? Redknapp has assured that Todorov can still play a part in the season but can you see it bar an injury crisis up front? I can't...

Writing this piece makes me wonder what would have happened to us in our first Premiership season had our number 9 not suffered that horrible injury. Toddy's misfortune ended up being Yakubu's gain and now he finds himself playing for Boro. Would Todorov have scored more than Yak did? How good would they have been as a Premiership strike partnership?

I guess it doesn't really matter now, and the same could be said for Pericard. He could have been some player for us if it wasn't for such a nasty injury. Now he finds himself struggling to find the net for Stoke, I would hate for the same situation to befall Toddy.
