The rumour mill! AGAIN!

Another day, another whole set of rum....yawn.... I just can't stay awak...zzzzzz

Still it's my duty to fufill my quota of "articles per week" and if I don't do it I'll get removed from my editoral duties, and since there's absolutely nothing else to talk about (apart from the visit of Iran) I might as well dedicate some (more) words to the cause of "today's transfer talk".

Peter Lovenkrands - A rumour that's really gathering serious pace north of the border. According to the ever reliable Daily Record we're leading a pack of clubs hoping to sign him after tabling a £250,000 bid, despite the fact Rangers allegedly want £500,000 for the Danish winger. He's a player with talent but he's lost his way a bit and a move could do him the power of good. As well as the fact we're apparently happy to increase his £17,000 a week wage packet; there's always heavy cash involved with these footballers!
Traianos Dellas - One of our alleged targets has spoken out in the press about how he wouldn't rule out a move to Rangers. He admits that Rangers haven't actually made any attempt to sign him, but he'd heard a rumour and certainly wouldn't mind. Sounds to me like someone's agent is looking for a move! If it's true and the blue side of Glasgow ARE in for him, I think we can write off any chances of signing the Greek defender. But you never know.
Yaniv Katan - Despite the fact it's universally accepted that he had a bit of a mare for Israel against ROI at the weekend, apparently that hasn't put us off. According to the press we've had a £1m bid rejected since Maccabi want £2m, but instead we're going to try and offer £1.8m. That'll fool 'em.
Mikael Forssell - Unconfirmed rumours suggest he's failed a medical at Everton. Sounds like potential loan territory to me!
Alexei Smertin - According to The News (surprise!), he could be signing again. Jesus Christ, change the record lads. Just try and go a day without a story about Smertin. Please?

Peter Storrie has been on local radio to say to once again confirm that two signings have already been made and that they will be announced in July when their contracts expire. In the meantime, expect plenty more rumour and speculation! I can hardly wait..... he lied.
