Symons, Mills and Fratton Park

Three stories have cropped up in the past day and it is unlikely that any of them will disappear in the near future. Player speculation and stadium dreaming are regular topics for Pompey fans.

With regard to players coming in, Pompey have confirmed their interest in Kit Symons. Graham Rix sees the player as a "good organiser, a good defender and a good character with a soft spot for Portsmouth." Rix is keen to shore up a defence that has been saved by the number of goals scored by Pompey this season. The Todorov rumour has died down and Fratton Faithful understands that a move for a striker will open happen next year - a defender being the priority for Rix as he enters the festive period.

Talking of strikers - it seems that Lee Mills has suddenly become one at Coventry with a proud record of played two, scored two, made one. Coventry fans are now keen to sign the Pompey flop but with the club £60million in debt, a move is far from complete - Pompey are looking for £400,000 for their current record signing. Expect a return to the Blue's witihin a month and then a move to Bradford, Stoke and Sheffield United...

As Fratton Faithful exclusively told you last week, Radio Solent have confirmed that Pompey are looking away from Fratton Park with regard to a new stadium. For more information on the method in Milan's madness, please see our earlier stadium story.
