Sullivan Leaves For Cambridge

Portsmouth have loaned goalkeeper John Sullivan to Cambridge United for the rest of the season.

The 25-year-old hasn't played for Pompey since his horrific showing at York when his errors contributed to an embarrassing 4-2 defeat at Bootham Crescent.

Cambridge are currently second in the Conference, five points behind Luton but have three games in hand. Still, it makes you wonder if they'll blow their chances of promotion having signed Sullivan, who may be a good shot stopper but is still one of the worst keepers I've seen play for our club and is unlikely to play for Pompey ever again.

Sullivan's exit means that Trevor Carson and Phil Smith are Pompey's only registered senior goalkeepers now.

In other transfer news, Jake Jervis is now finally a recognised free agent by FIFA following his release from Turkish club Elazigspor and should be coming back to Portsmouth as Richie Barker is interested in him.

Shaun Cooper and Marcos Painter's deals are up this month, so they could be leaving the club soon if the manager doesn't wish to keep them,

It promises to be a very busy month for Pompey during this transfer window.
