Singing The Toon

Pompey fans will not be happy at the result of this morning's Carling Cup Draw which has given Portsmouth a nasty tie at St. James' Park.

Not only are Newcastle difficult to beat at home, but this draw means that Pompey fans will have to travel nigh on 800 miles for a midweek evening game. The tie also reunites Harry Redknapp and Kevin Bond.

Well at least we have avoided the "big 4" and if Harry plays a full strength side at St. James' Park then we could have a fair chance of winning considering Newcastle aren't known for being solid at the back compared to ourselves. Newcastle are going to be tough proposition with 50,000 expectant Geordies watching the game and they are rarely beaten at home so we've really got a hard task of getting through to the fourth round.

Thanks a lot Sky Sports!
