Portsmouth's forgotten man Sebastien Schemmel has pleaded for a chance to impress Harry Redknapp.
The full-back was frozen from the first-team picture after requesting for time off due to a family illness, but the Frenchman insists his future lies with Pompey. He said: "I know I made a mistake four months ago when I said I wanted to leave because I had a family problem.
"That attitude wasn't professional, to be honest. I look back four months and think what I did was bad.
"It's for that reason that I want to get back in the squad and prove to everybody that it was a normal mistake.
"I need just one chance to get back in the team and prove to everybody I can do it. I have a lot to prove, because in the last four months I haven't played."
