Reserves: Tottenham 2 Portsmouth 0

To be completely honest, it's no real surprise we got defeated in this clash. With a game against Boro on the Sunday, not to mention the cup tie against Leeds on Tuesday, a meaningless reserve game on the Monday inbetween was always going to be a youth outing. In fact, only one player in the team, Lewis Buxton, has had any first team experience - and that was three years ago!

Barnard and Dilevksi grabbed the goals for the home side, although Pompey also had decent chances through Eyles and Horsted in the first half, and Scott Harris midway through the second. Andrea Guatelli was by far the busier of the two keepers however, saving well from Yeates late in the day and goalscorer Barnard.

A 2-0 defeat against a team containing experienced players such as Michael Brown, Michael Carrick and Mauricio Taricco is certainly no great shame for Andy Awford's youthful side.
