Redknapp confident now

Redknapp believes Pompey "are never going to get a better chance" of winning promotion to the Premiership after their 3-1 victory at Sheffield Wednesday maintained their seven point lead at the top of the First Division table.

"Forty-eight points from 20 games is an incredible total and is something I never expected us to get anywhere near at this stage," said Redknapp.

"Anything less than either first or second now is going to be a failure. But now is the time to strengthen the squad and push us on to promotion."
