David James, Glen Johnson and Jermain Defoe have all been called up by Fabio Capello for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Croatia.

However, there is no place in the 23-man-squad for Peter Crouch with the England manager picking Wayne Rooney, Emile Heskey and Theo Walcott ahead of the lanky striker.

There was a surprise call up for Fulham's Jimmy Bullard as England have a central midfield injury crisis with Steven Gerrard, Michael Carrick and Owen Hargreaves all absent.
