Pompey have announced that they are to host Charlton Athletic in a pre-season friendly.

The match will take place on Saturday, July 20th with a 3pm kick-off. The last time the two sides met was in January 2007 when former Pompey midfielder Amdy Faye scored his first goal in English football for the Addicks who won 1-0.

Now that Pompey are in League Two it is possible that Fratton Park will host more than one friendly at home during pre-season. The club has announced that it will play Bognor at Nyewood Lane on Saturday, July 13th with a 2pm kick-off time.

In other news, Adam Webster and Jed Wallace have been called up to the England Under-19 squad to participate in a European Championship qualifying tournament in Belgium. There they will play Georgia, Belgium and Scotland.
