Pompey To Add Two New Faces

Last updated : 18 January 2013 By Jim Bonner

Sam Sodje and Adam Reed are set to join Pompey and bolster their threadbare squad.

Sodje, 33, is a centre back who is currently without a club having been released by Notts County at the end of last season. He's a solid centre back who has a cult hero status at a few of the many clubs he has played for down the years. Pompey fans should take to him.

Sam may well have been playing against his brother Akpo who plays for Scunthorpe tomorrow but the match at Glanford Park was predictably postponed due to a frozen pitch.

Reed, 21, is a Sunderland midfielder who has had loan spells at Brentford, Bradford and Leyton Orient. He has yet to score a senior goal in his career and seems to be injury prone.

In other news, Pompey's postponed match with Notts County has been given a new date of Tuesday, January 29th with a 7:45pm kick off.
