Pompey Quartet In England Squad

A whopping FOUR Portsmouth players have been selected for England's next two World Cup qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Belarus.

Peter Crouch has been recalled to the squad after finding some form at Pompey and joins David James, Glen Johnson and Jermain Defoe the side.

This means that Portsmouth (along with Chelsea) are the most represented club in the England squad which seems pretty ridiculous doesn't it? Even if three of these players won't be in the starting line-up for the two qualifiers.

Perhaps "Play Up Pompey" should become the new national anthem?
