Pompey players in midweek action

Our lads out on loan really are experiencing varying degrees of success - one played his part in a giant killing, whilst two are sitting 92nd in the Football League. Here's who's doing what.

Richard Duffy: The aforementioned giant killer. Played the whole game for Burnley in the League Cup as they overcame Aston Villa 3-1, to set up a lucrative home tie with Spurs.

Eddie Howe: Played 120 minutes for Bournemouth as they drew 3-3 with Cardiff, before crashing out on penalties. You may remember in the last round they drew 3-3 away at Blackburn - before Eddie scored the winner in a spot kick shoot-out - but clearly their luck couldn't hold.

James Keene: Fresh from signing his first ever professional contract with us, his loan side Kidderminster lost 3-0 at Chester. "Keeno", as he will undoubtedly become imaginatively referred to in the future, only lasted an hour before being subbed.

Shaun Cooper: Played the whole match alongside Keene. The 3-0 defeat signalled the end of Jan Molby's second spell in charge of the Harriers; his resignation coming with the Harriers joint with Shrewsbury at the bottom of League 2.
