Pompey Loan Terrier Tareiq

Huddersfield left back Tareiq Holmes-Dennis has signed for Portsmouth on loan for the season.

The 21-year-old is a former England U-18 international and made fifteen appearances for the Terriers during their Championship promotion winning campaign last season.

His previous clubs include Charlton, Oxford, Plymouth and Oldham and those who have watched him have said he has pace and is able to deliver an excellent cross.

Therefore on paper Holmes-Dennis should be an adequate replacement for Enda Stevens, although time will tell once the upcoming season kicks off.

There will undoubtedly be more arrivals into the club as Kenny Jackett now looks to strengthen his squad further up the pitch, although Brighton goalkeeper Christian Walton still remains his prime target.
