The Fulham midfielder has been told by Lawrie Sanchez that he can leave Craven Cottage and it seems like Harry Redknapp has been quick out of the blocks to get a deal done.
As you probably remember, Diop was set to sign for us in the summer of 2004 and even trained with us before Fulham snatched him from under our noses. Redknapp has always liked the player known as "The Wardrobe" and it looks like he could finally snare him, although Newcastle, Sunderland and Everton are also interested.
An interesting development is this, but do we really need another central midfielder? Unless one of them is being sold of course....
