Pompey have been handed a trip to Huish Park to play Yeovil Town in the first round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
Gary Johnson's men were relegated from the Championship last season and were arguably the toughest draw Pompey could have got in the southwest section of the draw although the match is certainly a winnable one.
The tie will take place on week commencing September 1st and could be selected for Sky TV.
