Pompey Get TV Dates

Last updated : 09 July 2007 By Jim Bonner
A total of 6 Pompey games have been chosen for live broadcasting, with 5 of the matches being shown on Sky and the other on Setanta Sports.

The first clash to be shown by the Sky cameras is our home game with Bolton which has been brought back to 12:45 on the second Saturday of the season. Home matches against Liverpool (Saturday 12:45) and Man City (Sunday 16:00) have also been chosen by Sky for TV coverage.

Sky have also moved our away trips to Arsenal and Fulham to Sunday, kicking off at 13:30 and 16:10 respectively. The only game that Setanta will be showing is our home game with West Ham which now kicks off at 17:15. People will be glad that Sky don't do the Pay-Per-View thing anymore, but it turns out that Setanta will be even more money to fork out if you wish to subscribe... As if we weren't skint enough as it is in the money grabbing world of the Premier League...

In other news, David Nugent has left training in Preston to continue talks with Pompey over a £6 million move. Hopefully there's no "umming" and "ahhhing" now and just signs the damn contract already!
