Pompey Complete Triple Swoop

Patrick Agyemang, John Akinde and Therry Racon have all signed one-month deals with Portsmouth FC.

Agyemang, 32, joins on loan from Stevenage where he hadn't scored a single goal in 14 appearances for his parent club. Having said that, the former Ghanian international is more of a "foil" striker and is useful for battering defences even though he has hardly been prolific for his previous clubs which include Wimbledon, Preston and QPR.

Akinde, 23, joins as a free agent after being released by Crawley after only scoring a single goal in 31 appearances for the Red Devils. As a youngster, Akinde was loaned to many clubs but only found the net on a regular basis for Wycombe having made a name for himself at Ebbsfleet United.

Racon, 28, has signed on loan from Millwall but is known for his spell at Charlton, where he scored 7 goals in 100 appearances whilst playing on the wings for the Addicks. The Guadeloupe international only made one appearance for his parent club last season due to injury.

The players above don't sound like amazing recruits but who can be surprised that anyone would want to play for Pompey given our situation? Who knows, maybe they will add something to the squad and we'll actually win a game?

In other news, James Keene's loan has been extended so he is free to play against the club he was once loaned to on Saturday.
