Plymouth Trip To Be Televised

Portsmouth's trip to Home Park to play Plymouth Argyle has been selected for Sky television and will now kick off at 12:15 on Saturday, October 12th.

The dockyard derby is the second Pompey game to be shown live on TV this coming season with the trip to Accrington Stanley on August 10th also on Sky at 12:15.

This latest move by Sky means that blues fans will once again have to get up early for the long-ish jaunt to Devon for what could be a tasty affair and Sky are bound to play on the stories of both clubs having been hit hard by financial problems in recent history.

In other news, Pompey have not been given a bye in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and willhave to play in the first round.

That means on September 3rd or 4th they will have to play either Bristol City, Bristol Rovers, Cheltenham Town, Exeter City, Plymouth Argyle, Torquay United or last season's conquerors Wycombe Wanderers.

There may be a good chance that Pompey will be televised in this competition with an "attractive draw" which will take place during Soccer AM on August 17th.
