Srnicek, who was unable to hold down a regular role for Pompey, has joined First Division West Ham United on a permanent basis and told West Ham's local press: "The way I see it, is this is a much bigger club than Portsmouth, when you see the stadium and everything we have here.

"Portsmouth is smaller and that's why it is harder [for them] to stay in the Premier League".
