Croatia thought they were into the semi-finals of Euro 2008 after scoring in the 119th minute of their game with Turkey only for the Turks to equalise with the last kick in the game and then hold their nerve in the penalty shootout.
France were eliminated after finishing bottom of the "group of death" having played poorly throughout the tournament. Lassana Diarra never got a sniff at playing which is probably good for us as the vultures haven't been able to scout him which means he should stay with us now.
Niko played OK during the tournament but missed a few really good chances. I don't think he shone enough to tempt a massive club to bid for him so I think he will stay also.
On the whole I think Euro 2008 has been a great tournament to watch, especially without England. The amount of fight and luck that Turkey have had you can't help but think that they have a chance, especially after the way we won the FA Cup this year.
