After the departure of Panopolous to Dunfermline, another out of favour midfielder has been snapped by by a Scottish club - Gary Brady is the latest player shipped out of Fratton Park on loan, with a view to a permanent move.

The 25 year old ex Spurs and Newcastle midfielder was give a one year deal by Rix after impressing in the relegation fight at the end of last season. Unfortuantely this seems to be his last appearance in a Blue's shirt after not been in the picture this season - despite some sparkling performances in the reserves.

Panopolous is enjoying his time north of the border, who today hit out at squad morale at Pompey to an Australian website: "It's strange because you can see who was signed by which boss - they've all formed little cliques. It's nothing like the atmosphere at Dunfermline where all the guys have been welcoming and treat me well." It is likely that Glasgow born Brady will also enjoy his time in his homeland.

Milan Mandaric will be anxious to trim his wage bill even further - especially with Redknapp and Rix working overtime to sign a striker to face Forest on Wednesday. Redknapp is back, fresh from his break in the sun, and his using his extensive Premiership contacts to find Pompey the best deal - with Todorov's name once again making an appearance in the Fratton Park boardroom.

The search is not proving easy though, with Rix telling The News: ‘We've got to be very careful. We don't want to be bringing people in for the sake of it. We've got to be selective.'
