The future of Pompey's new training facility at Titchfield looks to be decided on January 14th when club officials meet with Fareham Borough Council to discuss the plans.

The club were forced to withdraw the plans because the council required "further details" and to conduct discussions with local residents. The FA, the Premier League and local residents have all been supportive of the plans and I would obviously hope that both parties could come to some sort of an agreement and that the facility can finally be built.

In other news, Djimi Traore has been dropped from the Mali squad that will play in the African Nations Cup. That's what you get when you decide to go on holiday when your country needs you for two vital qualifers!

On the other hand, Cameroon coach Otto Pfister is attempting to bring Lauren back to play during the tournament by travelling to England to hold talks with the currently injured right back. The former Arsenal defender retired from international football in 2002.
