Micky Lill, who played 43 games for Portsmouth between 1962 and 1965, has died following a long battle with cancer. As well as his spell at Fratton Park which yielded 7 goals, he represented Everton, Wolves, Plymouth and Guildford.

During his playing days, he was called up for England Youth duty, as well as winning the league at Molineux. He left England for South Africa, where he played, coached and managed several clubs, before walking away from the game in 1973.
