LuaLua in the dock

Not content with the long term injuries of Todorov and Pericard, plus the absence until Christmas of Yakubu and Kamara, Lomana LuaLua is likely to face a suspension following an incident at Middlesbrough.

During the 1-1 draw the Congo captain was subjected to verbal abuse from the home fans over his Newcastle connections, and as something of a retaliation he is alleged to have kicked a ball into the home crowd, given them a middle finger, and then bared his buttocks in their direction.

The FA have clearly decided there is enough evidence to call him up, and he is likely to face a fine and suspension. Although only 75% fit, after scoring his first goal of the season on Saturday this could be a big blow to the team.
