League Two Lineup Complete

Last updated : 18 May 2013 By Jim Bonner

Northampton Town's capitulation at Wembley today means that they, aong with 23 other teams will visit Fratton Park next season for a League Two fixture.

Pompey fans were probably happier to see Bradford City promoted after their easy 3-0 win today. The Bantams are further away than the Cobblers and their departure now ensures that Portsmouth has the biggest stadium in the division.

League Two now has a clear north/south divide if you take a look at the map. Like last season, Hartlepool is the longest trip that Pompey fans will have to make with the jaunt to AFC Wimbledon being the shortest.

A duo of northwestern clubs in Morecambe and Fleetwood Town will host Pompey for the very first time whilst Burton Albion, Cheltenham Town and Dagenham & Redbridge fans will make their maiden journeys to Fratton Park too.

A tour of Devon awaits with Plymouth, Torquay and Exeter City all in League Two next season and there are other clubs such as Chesterfield and Rochdale who Pompey haven't played since the 80's.

You would expect Pompey fans to sell out every away allocation south of the midlands and possibly some of the northern grounds too if the team performs well.

It should be an interesting season given the opposition and some of the stadia that Portsmouth fans will be travelling to. Let's hope it's a campaign to remember for all of the right reasons this time!
