Kabamba Joins Pompey

Paul Cook has added another Hampton and Richmond striker to his ranks by completing the signing of Nicke Kabamba for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old has signed an 18-month contract and has outscored Jamal Lowe this season with 16 goals to his name. He has also quit his job as a car salesman for the opportunity to play for the biggest club in League Two.

Kabamba is said to be quicker than Lowe but doesn't quite have the technical ability of the team-mate he has now been reunited with.

Once again, it's another gamble from the Pompey manager and only time will tell if it pays off but it'll be interesting to see if Cook decides to play the two former Beavers strikers together at any point during this season.

With another striker on the books and more players likely to come to Portsmouth before the transfer window shuts, there are bound to be players who leave the club with Curtis Main and Drew Talbot supposedly being mooted for moves away.

A right back is certainly required before January ends and fans would expect one to arrive. But will there be any more players to come to Pompey before February begins?
