Job Done

We have booked our place in the fourth round of the FA Cup following a narrow win against Championship side Ipswich today.

It certainly wasn't the most convincing of performances though. We couldn't seem to pass wind today as we constantly kept giving the ball away and giving away silly free kicks. As well as letting Ipswich have space and possession and I can't believe that Town hadn't scored when Williams had a clear chance to go one up.

The goal was a simple enough header provided by Matty Taylor who I thought was our man of the match. Lua Lua got plenty of stick from the crowd today because he was so frustrating and wouldn't pass when there were clear options available to him and he also missed a one on one. Saying that I still think he was our main thread and the abuse he got from the crowd was quite unjustified considering how bad we usually are away from home and that we are supposed to be supporters and get behind our players.. even if things aren't going for them.

Carrying on from the subject of the crowd, it wasn't long before we got behind our new co-owner chanting the very original "Sacha! Sacha! Sacha!" which soon turned to "Scummer! Scummer! Scummer!" as soon as Jim Magilton got the ball. At the end of it Ipswich were probably the better side but only because we allowed them to be especially after we had scored. But it's the result that matters, we got the job done and now we await our fate on Monday.
