I See In My Crystal Ball....

Pompey are staying up, at least, that's what my predictions revealed courtesy of the BBC Premier League predictor.

I was honest as I possibly could be and despite the assumption that Pompey will only win two more games this season (against Bolton and Sunderland, both at home) the predictor shows that we will survive by six points, finishing 14th with 42 points.

In fact, according to my results a team would only need 37 points to stay up as Newcastle scrape survival and Sunderland take the drop with Boro and West Brom.

This probably doesn't mean anything as my predictions are probably even less accurate than those of Mark Lawrenson but I honestly think that it won't be many more than 37 points needed to stay in the top flight.

And despite the 2-2 draw with the basement Baggies there are teams in far worse positions than us. Neither Hull or Sunderland can buy a win at the moment, Newcastle are struggling and have a nightmare run-in whilst Blackburn don't have it easy either.

I'm still quietly confident we'll survive but then if we fail to beat Bolton on Saturday then my mood is going to change. My table in full is below, why not have a go yourself if you haven't already?
