Pompey boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed he would be interested in bringing Spurs striker Teddy Sheringham to Fratton Park.
Sheringham has been told by Spurs that he will not be offered a new deal at White Hart Lane when his present deal expires in the summer and the former England international would be available on a Bosman free-transfer.
"Of course I would be interested in a player of Teddy's ability," Redknapp told the Sun newspaper.
"He has shown again this season that he is well capable of doing it in the Premiership.
