Harry Admits Nugent Could Leave

Harry Redknapp has admitted that David Nugent could be sold to fund a move for a player who will improve the squad further.

Redknapp revealed that Billy Davies was interested in taking him to Derby a few days ago and after the Leeds game tonight he told Sky Sports that he might do some business.

Redknapp said: "You need to raise money sometimes, you have to sell people that you're not so keen to sell because you want to get somebody else in."

"Derby have been in and they would like to sign him, they would like him very much. Billy knows him and if David wants to go... if people want to move then you let them go. It's up to David really, I'll have a chat with him and see what his plans are."

The bad news doesn't stop there either. Harry also admitted that one or two players that "people think are good" could be sacraficed in order to raise funds to strengthen the squad further, although he's virtually ruled out Nicolas Anelka.

So, my fellow Pompey fans, we face the real possibility of losing a fan favourite before Friday. Who would it be? Matthew Taylor or Gary O'Neil? Or maybe it could be both...

That then brings the next question - "Who will Harry bring in?" I hear Adriano is available...
