Fratton Park will host a Hampshire derby when Aldershot Town visit Portsmouth for the first round of the FA Cup.
The non-league Shots are currently 15th in the Conference National and beat Torquay in the last qualifying round. This could be a tasty tie with the fixture being a Hampshire derby and the "Navy vs Army" flavour to it, but this is also a match Pompey should fancy their chances in.
In other FA Cup news, our local sides were handed tie at home to League One opposition. Gosport Borough will make their debt in the "proper" competition against Colchester United whilst Havant & Waterlooville will take on Preston North End if they win their replay with Canvey Island tomorrow evening.
The ties will be played on the 7th-10th of November depending on kick-off times and possible TV coverage.
