Grant Joins Chelsea

Pompey have lost a key member of their backroom staff as Avram Grant has finally moved to Chelsea after months of speculation.

The ex-Israel boss joins Chelsea as their director of football and now leaves Pompey to find a replacement for him. This deal might not be as bad as some people think as this can only improve our good relationship with Chelsea which may give us an edge over bidding for their players or taking them on loan. It'll be interesting to know how we've been compensated for this loss.

In other news, Pompey fans are starting to get rather annoyed at David Nugent's indecisive ways. The striker has been told to return to Preston for training tomorrow as talks for a move down south have stalled as the 22-year-old is apparently holding out for a move to Everton, though the Toffees are only prepared to pay £4 million for his services.

Rennes have also reportedly rejected a bid from Pompey for John Utaka, whilst Harry has issued a "take it or leave it" ultimatum to Kanu by warning him that the offer won't be there forever. At the moment though, our striking options look extremely limited.

Sky are also set to announce the fixture changes at midnight tonight so for those of you who are nocturnal, check this site for the details of which games will be shown on TV.
