O'Neil has helped rejuvinate Walsall's season (despite the fact that Paul Merson has told us they play better football than Portsmouth), leading the club to wins over Preston North End and Gillingham.

However, Harry Redknapp has no interest in making the move a permanent one... he says: "I like the boy very much and he's definitely in my future plans.

"It's only right he should get some games somewhere - even though we have already let a few go out on loan and our squad isn't the biggest."
