After a slight drop in form, whispers started to circulate on various message boards that Rix's job could soon be on the line with Redknapp waiting in the wings. As soon as Redknapp joined the club these rumours began to circulate but a fantastic start to the season has squashed these until recently.
Pompey's slight slip in form, arguments over Kawaguchi and a bust up with Justin Edinburgh that resulted in him allowed to leave the club on a free transfer has meant that talks about Rix's future reached fever pitch - even Mandaric got involved trying to deny the rumours in an interview with The News.
This prompted a poll by Fratton Faithful where unsurprisingly the vast majority of you choose to keep Rix as boss. 79.7% of you would keep Rix in charge whilst 20.3% would like to see Redknapp given the job - considering Pompey's start to the season, this is still quite a high percentage but easily in the minority.
This club needs stability and talk of Rix leaving the club is ridiculous considering the start we've made.
