Pompey continued their pre-season winning streak at the Silverlake Stadium tonight with a 1-0 win courtesy of a Benjani goal.

This Portsmouth side was stronger than the side at Havant & Waterlooville last night. Asmir Begovic was in goal, the back four consisted of Hriedarsson, Distin, Campbell and Lauren. The midfield was made of 5 players with Muntari, Hughes, Mendes and Cranie playing behind Kranjcar who was in an attacking midfield role to support Benjani up front.

During the second half Pompey replaced the returning Hughes and Benjani with two trialists. One was Christophe who featured yesterday and the other was someone named Ryan Harper who was described as "shocking" by the radio commentary.

As for the game itself it seemed like Pompey dominated the majority of the game with all players performing well and Niko Kranjcar coming close once or twice. We're still yet to concede on our pre-season and let's hope that continues as our next friendly is in Hong Kong where we will play Fulham in the Asia Cup.
