Downhill Slope

Today's results really couldn't have got any worse for us. Following Birmingham's first home win of the season against Fulham, West Brom's victory over Man City and Aston Villa's battling draw against Bolton we are now left in 19th position in the Premiership and 6 points (virtually 7 because of an awful goal difference) from safety.

We are on a measly 10 points with Birmingham on 12 with a game in hand. Then come a cluster of teams on 16 points so even if we did win on Monday we will still be in the bottom three.

These results today have pretty much forced us to win our next 3 games if we are to give ourselves a decent fighting chance of getting out of relegation. We are entering a crucial period of the season so things need to start picking up. Fast.
