Club slapped with fine and suspensions

Pompey have never been a dirty side, infact we've always looked at teams such as West Brom or Wolves as teams we would hate to be - they're dirty teams who cheat and rile players. However statistically we are now equal, if not worse than those teams - whether we have suddenly turned into a dirty side overnight is debatable however.

Most fans will point to the fact that Pompey seem to attract referee's who quite frankly don't like the club - Pompey received 7 bookings against Sheffield United - compared to their 2. It is a statistic that has been repeated throughout the season - if we get booked for a challenge, chances are the other team won't. This lack of consistency riles the crowd and therefore the players even more, creating a snowball effect.

It is challenges like Shaun Derry's that are worthy of punishment and luckily these are very rare at Pompey. Linvoy Primus was guilty of nothing against Barnsley but now we must cope without the key defender for three games. Primus will be suspended against Rotherham, West Brom and Coventry. Derry starts a week later, missing West Brom, Coventry and Walsall. Both players will be missed.

£10,000 will be missing from Mandaric's wallet as well after the FA ordered the club to hand over money as a way of punishing the club for a supposed lack of discipline. In Fratton Faithful's opinion, poor refereeing has cost Pompey dearly in money and players - a time for video evidence? Discuss.
