"There's a meeting at 10pm our time tonight, and I'll speak with Ivica's father on the phone," said the Pompey Chairman.
"Ivica has an army of agents, so I'll talk to his father in my native language and try to convince him to come to Portsmouth.
"I may then make a trip to Anderlecht either late tonight or first thing tomorrow morning.
"There's no conclusion to the deal and still a couple more obstacles to overcome."
