Cardiff Approved For UEFA Cup

The FA have confirmed that Cardiff City will enter the UEFA Cup if they manage to beat Pompey and win the FA Cup.

This means that there's no doubt now that Pompey have to do the business at Wembley or finish fifth in the Premier League if us fans want to experience European football next season.

However, if Pompey manage to finish fifth in the league and win the FA Cup, not only will every Pompey fan have a smile on their face for life but Cardiff will miss out and the last UEFA Cup place will go to whoever finishes 6th instead.

It has also been confirmed that the Welsh National Anthem will be played before the game kicks off. I think that's wrong because a) the FA Cup is an English competiton, regardless of who's competing in it and b) this decision will only increase the "England vs Wales" factor of the final when it should really be "Portsmouth vs Cardiff".

Also if you really want to go to the final and can't get a ticket, then try entering the Carlsberg competition by clicking here. There are two pairs of tickets to give away and all you have to do is answer five "football led" multiple choice questions. So try your luck!
