Marc Burchill's career at Fratton Park looks as good as dead after a falling out with tempermental manager Harry Redknapp, but will hope to make an impact at struggling Sheffield Wednesday, who require striking cover after loaning Lloyd Owusu to Reading.
The South Yorkshire side's official website stated:"Mark has pace and a good goalscoring record and will give us another string to our bow.
"He's made 40 starts and scored 35 goals, including his Celtic days".
Burchill is likely to start in the Boxing Day clash against Port Vale.
