Brian Priske Released

Reports in Demark are saying that Brian Priske has been released from Portsmouth Football Club, with Priske himself being quoted as not being happy about being told about his release earlier.

There is no announcement on the official site yet but the reports from Denmark seem pretty strong and Priske is quoted as saying "I would have liked to have known before I went on holiday" according to the Danish media. Unfortunately I don't see this as journalistic bullshit and I don't believe we'll ever be seeing Brian Priske in a Pompey shirt ever again, which is a great shame because I really did rate him (as you may already know) because he was solid at the back and was decent going forward. If these reports are true then it's pretty shameful on behalf of PFC that he, and us fans didn't know about this sooner, which is why I'm not 100% he is gone yet, but still almost certain nevertheless.

Harry Redknapp isn't stupid (usually), and with Priske's release we should have a replacement right back lined up any time now, unless it was Glen Johnson of course, and he seems to be on his way to Feyenoord. Whoever his replacement is, he's gonna have to be pretty good to fill Priske's boots after a successful spell at Fratton Park.

Fratton Faithful wishes Brian Priske the best in his future endeavours.
