Pompey striker Lee Bradbury has been recalled to the club after a loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday and is in line for a shock recall against the club he has been on loan to.
Pompey will be without regular strikers Vincent Pericard and Yacubu Ayegbeni through injury and manager Harry Redknapp could give Bradbury a first team start against the Owls on Saturday after bringing him back to Fratton Park on Monday."It is a strange one but I would rather be playing for Portsmouth against Sheffield Wednesday than the other way around," Bradbury told the Yorkshire Post.
"Portsmouth are my club, I want them to go up, and I was dreading the thought of going down to Fratton Park and scoring the winner against them.
"Wednesday have been a different class with me because I needed to play games after my knee injury, but I am now excited about going home and looking forward to showing the manager what I can do.
"I am hoping I can stay at Portsmouth because you want to play at the highest level you possibly can as a footballer and they are hopefully going up this season. I'd like to be a part of their squad."
