Big Pat Leaves Pompey

Patrick Agyemang has left Portsmouth by mutual consent and is now a free agent.

The 34-year-old hadn't scored a goal for Pompey since December 3rd, 2013 in a 2-2 draw with Wycombe and after a failed loan spell with Dagenham & Redbridge earlier this season, it was obvious that his career at Fratton Park was coming to an end.

"Big Pat" will be remembered fondly for his ability on the ball and his hold-up play rather than being a great scorer of goals. His sublime effort at Oxford in the Paint Trophy was probably his best strike in a Pompey shirt.

All Pompey fans will surely wish Pat well in his future endeavours. He may well still have something to offer at non-league level but his career in the Football League is now surely over.

In other news, Sheffield Wednesday are supposedly the latest club to show an interest in Jed Wallace although Wolves are still the "favourites" to sign him after Kenny Jackett watched the defeat to AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.

Jed is almost certainly going to leave in the summer. He is destined for bigger things than League Two and despite signing a new contract recently, he won't want to spend another season in the basement division when bigger clubs come calling.
